After facing rejection under his own name, Benjamin sends his first editorial letter to The Courant. He writes under the pen name "Mrs. Silence Dogood," a fictional, opinionated, middle-aged widow. Silence publishes 14 letters full of wit, wisdom, and striking social commentary.
